Loper Football Announces Time Change for Home Games
Kickoff for Home Games Now Scheduled for 12:07 p.m.
UNK Athletics has announced a time change for all remaining home football games during the 2023 season. Effective immediately, all home games will now kick off at 12:07 p.m. CT.
The decision to move to an earlier kickoff time was made after careful consideration of several factors, including fan feedback, television coverage, and the overall gameday experience.
"We believe that this time change will provide a number of benefits for our fans, players, and coaches," said Director of Athletics Marc Bauer. "The earlier start time will allow fans to enjoy the game in a more comfortable and family-friendly atmosphere, and it will also give our players and coaches more time to prepare for the game."
The first home game to be affected by the time change will be the Lopers' matchup against the Fort Hays State Tigers on Saturday, September 23. The game will now kick off at 12:07 p.m. CT at Ron & Carol Cope Stadium in Kearney, Nebraska.
UNK Athletics encourages all fans to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid lines on gameday. Tickets can be purchased online at UNKLoperTickets.com or by calling the UNK Ticket Office at 308-865-8200.
